COURSE: ADVANCED MICROSCOPIC AND SPECTROSCOPIC TECHNIQUES

From December 2–4, 2025, the Institute of Scientific Instruments of the Czech Academy of Sciences (ISI CAS) will host a three-day hands-on course focused on advanced microscopic and spectroscopic techniques. Come and expand your knowledge and skills in the field of imaging methods!

The course is organized and warmly hosted by the team of the Central Laboratory for Electron Microscopy and Raman Spectroscopy at ISI CAS.

Date: December 2–4, 2025  Venue: Institute of Scientific Instruments CAS, Královopolská 147, 612 00 Brno, Czech Republic

  • The course is held in collaboration with Charles University (Faculty of Science, Imaging Methods Laboratory Viničná) and the Biology Centre CAS (Electron Microscopy Laboratory). Lecturers will include leading experts in the field.
  • It is intended for university students and early-career researchers working in life sciences and soft materials.
  • Participants will learn the principles of electron microscopy and Raman spectroscopy, gain insight into advanced techniques, and engage in hands-on laboratory training.
  • Registration deadline: November 20, 2025

  • December 2 – Free access to expert lectures held in the ISI lecture hall (registration required)
  • December 3–4 – Intensive practical training in laboratories 
  • Fee: 1000 CZK (for students and academic staff) 

Capacity: Limited to 12 participants, You will receive a certificate for your participation in the course.
