A special symposium will honor Aksel A. Bothner-By, Josef Dadok, Irving J. Lowe, and Robert T. Schumacher. The symposium, "New Directions in NMR", will be held September 20, 1997, at the Carnegie Mellon University. An all-star list of invited speakers include Richard R. Ernst, Ray Freeman, Ervin L. Hahn, Paul C. Lauterbur, Jonh L Markley, Charles P. Slichter, and John S. Waugh. The Symposium is sponsored by Carnegie Mellon University, University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh NMR Center for Biomedical Research, and Society for Analytical Chamists of Pittsburgh.
